We love offering our yoga community special events and workshops and no one likes to have to cancel them. Our teachers are dedicated to bringing you the very best workshops and in doing so they spend a great deal of time preparing.Therefore, it’s important to register and when you do register that you make the same commitment to the teacher that she is making in bringing you a workshop. The Great Practice ~ "Maha Sadhana"

From there we will flow into a breath centric vinyasa to designed to help focus the mind, invigorate the body and sooth the spirit. The flow will contain healing mantras (sound vibrations) to help stimulate the chakras while working to stretch, tone and strengthen the entire physical body. The practice will end with a yoga Nidra, a final guided meditation to lead you into a deep relaxation.

Goddess to the Core Workshop

We’ll cover the characteristics of each sign, and how the Sun’s placement influences the way a person views and interacts with the world. Knowing this can empower you to connect with the important “others” in your life so you can be better heard and understood.

Shoulder issues?

Here are some signs, can’t lift your arms overhead, can't lift your arms overhead without your head moving forward, shoulder hurts when sleeping on your side, can’t seem to throw a ball right, pain, headaches,snapping or twinges, tight chest muscles

The shoulders and hips are the only ball and socket joints in the body meaning when healthy they have the widest range of motion of any joints. So is it possible that restrictions in the hips can affect the shoulders and vise versa. Crazy as it may seem, yes! In this class we'll look at the anatomy of the shoulder, the way it moves and how the restriction of movement can affect the head, neck, hands, spine and hips. Then we'll explore techniques and exercises to help you discover where you’re restricted and begin to release it.

In February we will continue this exploration in Claire's Saturday morning class Yoga & Shoulders.

The Pelvis - A 2 Part Series

The pelvis includes the hips, tailbone, sacrum, sit bones, pelvic floor, center of gravity and core stability, to name a few. In most traditions it is considered our foundation and source of power physically, mentally and emotionally. Problems here can cause imbalances anywhere in the body from the shoulders to the feet and can affect everything from incontinence, breathing to emotions. It is the foundation of every movement in the body and is the" basin" of our energy, including stamina and those energies we can't always explain. Here we'll look at anatomy and connect with it in our bodies through practice and exploration of movement. Through this we'll begin to learn how to properly engage, stabilize, stretch and soften the pelvis and its affect on the rest of the body.

This class is for students, teachers or anyone with a beginner's mind interested in going deeper into how your body works and ways to improve your abilities.
